This song was written for a member of the Washington County Search and Rescue, who made 2 trips to Haiti after the devastating earthquake ravaged their country.
I don't usually get involved in politics, but sometimes, I just can't help myself...
I wrote this song after visiting the Traveling Wall, honoring the Viet Nam veterans. It was a profound experience that I won't forget.
My husband was going to learn to play the dulcimer, so I told him I would write a funny song for him. Well, he never learned the dulcimer, but I DID write the song. Sorry to anyone who has no teeth!
I lived in the Santa Barbara area for years, where homelessness was a stark contrast to the general wealth of the area. It was always something that I realized we were only steps away from ourselves. We actually started out homeless in Santa Barbara before we were able to establish a more stable life. It was something that gave me nightmares for years.
Another not so serious tune. I really like the touching, and then I really like the "touched"!
This was a fun effort about a not so fun issue. Perfect for Halloween!
My sister wanted to do the National Anthem on her CD, so I wrote parts, and this is the version we came up with.
This is my "Christmas Card" song.
